Footprints of first Aryan kings

On the eastern side of an Uzbeki village near Nazarabad town of Alborz Province in the north of Iran, there is a 7000 years old mound. It is a great ancient site embracing a high central mound 26 meters in height and six other smaller hills called Takhtgaah, Jeyraan, Maral, Dooshaan, Yan and Gomish.. In the course of archaeological excavation carried out, the oldest handmade clay tiles have been discovered in Jeyraan mound. The area was inhabited by Median Tribe until 4000 years ago.
The site is awaiting registration on UNESCO World Heritage List and will soon be inaugurated as a historical monument for visits by the public. The historical monument is of great significance which dates back at least to the fourth millennium BC. Its architecture indicates that bricks were commonly used for construction during the period.
